I spent the morning in San Francisco with my two children and still had the camera conveniently in the van when I went to the Antique Society this afternoon. I have been promising photos of my nearly decorated space for some time and thought that it was the perfect opportunity. I realized today how much I missed my Nikon D60. She and I simply must spend more time together in 2015.
This is just a little teaser and after the New Year I'll explain a little more about why I changed things up.
Here's a poorly taken photo of the old Apron Thrift Girl color and my space as I was dismantling it.
I adored that color of aqua. I still do but it just doesn't feel like me any more.
I took out 90% of the inventory in my space which was focused on Mid Century Modern and instead filled it with this new look. My inspiration is part Restoration Hardware (yet authentically vintage/antique) and Anthropologie. Mixed in with a slightly European feel. Not quite as easy to explain as MCM but that is what makes it more fun to buy. I needed a new challenge, a new genre to learn and so far I am loving this new adventure.
Nothing more sweet than a vintage laundry basket full of ornament wonderment.
This is actually a view of the front vignette in the store. It changes every six weeks or so. Right now it's a lovely, delicious silver, gold and white display for Christmas. This aluminum Christmas tree is mine.
I'll add more photos soon along with the last couple of chapters of my life. I'd love to hear your thoughts of my new direction.
